7 Year Bitch was a female punk rock band from Seattle formed in 1990 by:
- Vocalist Selene Vigil (ex Barbie's Dream Car)
- Guitarrist Stefanie Sargent (ex Barbie's Dream Car)
- Bassist Elizabeth Davis
- Drummer Valerie Agnew (ex Barbie's Dream Car)
- Guitarrist Roisin Dunne
- Guitarrist Lisa Faye Beatty
This band has been related with The Gits, Mia Zapata's band. The Gits were a huge influence for 7 Year Bith, they opened several shows at the beginning indeed.
The first single was called "Lorna" and a bit later the band got a contract deal with C/Z Records.

The debut album is "Sick 'Em", released on October, 1992 through C/Z Records. Scott Benson was the producer.
It collected the recordings of the band along the last two years, on the other hand was the first and last album Stefanie Sargent played on, due to she died on June 1992.
Cause of Sargent's decease was the asphyxiation produced by the consume of alcohol and heroin.

It was sometime for the band to decide whether carry on or not, they did not breakup and Roisin Dunne joined 7 Year Bitch.

And with the new guitarrist, Roisin Dunne, 7 Year Bitch the second studio album, "¡Viva Zapata!". C/Z Records released it on June 28, 1994.
The producer was Jack Endino.
The band named this album in this was in order to pay tribute to Mia Zapata, friend of the band and singer of The Gits. Mia was raped and killed in July 1993. The song "M.I.A" was written in her honour.
On the other hand, Stefanie Sargent also was remembered over the song "Rock a Bye".
In 1995 the band signed with Atlantic Records, and in 1996 released their third album, Gato Negro.[10] Following the tour supporting Gato Negro, guitarist Roisin Dunne left, and was replaced by Lisa Faye Beatty, the band's live sound engineer and long-time friend.
7 Year Bitch signed with Atlantic Records in 1995, and one year later the third and last album was released. It was named "Gato Negro" and was released on March 12, 1996.
The producer was Billy Anderson.
In order to promote the album, three songs became singles, "The History Of My Future", "24,900 Miles Per Hour" and "Miss Understood".
After some time, Atlantic Records considered no enough the amount of sales, and the bands was dimissed.
Then the band lose its fixed basement, Davis and Agnew moved to San Francisco, Vigil went to Los Angeles. Dunne decided to leave 7 Year Bitch. These distant locations produced that 7 Year Bitch disbanbed in 1997.
- Elizabeth Davis (bassist), joined the San Francisco band Clone, she played there until 2003. In 2005 formed the band Von Iva. She has also involved in several projects.
- Selene Vigil (vocalist) formed Cistine in 2000. She also released a solo album called "That Was Then". She was married with Rage Against the Machine drummer, Brad Wilk.
- Roisin Dunne (guitarrist) joined the band The Last Goddbye in 2006, she resides in New York.
- Valerie Agnew (drummer) retired from the music
