| Melvins EP, Eggnop |
Aflter the Bullhead tour, The Melvins released a live album called "Your Choice Live Series Vol.12" through Your Choice Records. and an EP "Eggnop" through Boner Records.
Lori Black "Lorax" departed from The Melvins. She was replaced by Joe Preston.
With Preston on the band, The Melvins released three EPs, each EP was composed by each member. "King Buzzo", "Dale Crover" and "Joe Preston". That was inspired with Kiss stuff.

| Fourth Melvins album, Lysol |
The Melvins released the fourth album "Lysol" through Boner Records in 1992.
The trademark Lysol was already registered, that made that they got to remove Lysol from the cover. Anyway this album the fans and the media kept the name alive. It was renamed "Melvins"
The covers represents the sculpture of Cyrus Edwin Dallin called "Appeal To The Great Spirit"
Joe Preston left the band and Lori Black was in again, although it was for a short time.

| Fifth Melvins album, Houdini |
Houdini was the jump to a major record label.
Lori Black was credited to be the bassist in this album but it was not true according to Osborne and Crover. Anyway she left the band definitely due to her drug problems.
Mark Deutrom became the bassist, he was has been working for the band as producer in the past.

| Sixth Melvins album, Prick |
The next album got the name "Prick" and it was released by Amphetamine Records on August 5, 1994.
The band's letters are mirrored on the cover, that's because The Melvins had a contract deal with Atlantic Records.
This album was understood by the band as the most experimental work done.
The band meant to call the album "Kurt Kobain", but his death made it impossible, and they finally turned to name it "Prick".
